The Lazy A Ranch
Stay where the fishing is — a remodeled ranch house on the edge of town that sleeps eight.
The Lazy A Ranch is Wade's on-site lodging for guide guests — a fully remodeled house on six acres on the edge of Mobridge, SD. It sleeps eight, has two bathrooms and indoor and outdoor kitchens, and runs $225 a night for up to 5 guests, $325 a night for 6 or more. It's a 3–4 mile drive to the boat launch.
Modern comfort, country quiet
An old house Wade totally redid, with the amenities of a new place but right on the edge of town. Two stories, two bathrooms, and it sleeps eight without anyone sharing a bed. Outside you've got horses, cows, and chickens — coyotes and roosters instead of traffic.
Eight beds, two baths, plenty of space
Sleeps eight
Two bedrooms with multiple beds — nobody has to share — plus comfortable common space to spread out.
Two full baths
Tiled walk-in showers with pebble floors and a clean, country-modern finish.
Room to relax
An enclosed porch, a coffee-and-beverage bar, laundry, and a fire-table area to unwind after the water.
Fresh fish at the end of the day
On most multi-day stays, one evening Wade fires up the Cajun fryer for a fish fry — fish you caught that day, French fries, and a salad. It's a guest favorite and a fine way to end a day on Lake Oahe.
